O’Reilly Goes Too Far

Published by at 6:47 pm under All General Discussions,Illegal Immigration

Bill O’Reilly has become another example of the far right, Immigration Hypochondriacs running into the sewer because they have lost their minds and the argument on the comprehensive immigration bill supported by large majorities since it includes both border protection and a guest worker program. Jerks like O’Reilly cannot tolerate the guest worker program with fines and back taxes due as punishment for working here without documentation. And this intolerance is seen in their immature and hateful nativist comments, like what just spewed out of O’Reilly’s big mouth:

Bill O’Reilly asserted that the proposed immigration reform bill is supported by “people who hate America, and they hate it because it’s run primarily by white, Christian men. Let me repeat that. America is run primarily by white, Christian men, and there is a segment of our population who hates that, despises that power structure.” He continued: “So they, under the guise of being compassionate, want to flood the country with foreign nationals, unlimited, unlimited, to change the complexion — pardon the pun — of America. Now, that’s hatred, too.”

As a white, now non-practicing Christian man I can only say this: Forget You O’Reilly. Clearly you are insecure about people of color being too close to you. Similarly to how the Nazis hated the Jews for poisoning the German culture, too many on the right spew this garbage about polluting our country out of fear of having to deal with people of other cultures. And they call us Un-American. What an ugly and pathetic comment.

Addendum: OK, I cleaned up the text and the HTML – since I was trying to spill this post out fast so my family could go to downtown Herndon and see the fireworks and left it pretty mangled. And after reading O’Reilly’s full text I find less offensive – but only barely. The fact is O’Reilly was trying to include the far left as supporters of the current Bill – which they are not. La Raza and the other far left groups do not like this bill because it eliminates the citizenship option for temporary workers and requires the background checks to eliminate the criminal element. So instead of being 100% irritated with O’Reilly I am 98% irritated because the guy simply used a lie to try and scare people from supporting the Bill. In a classic race baiting move reminiscent of the Dubai Ports fiasco O’Reilly must have been trying to reach our collective inner Klansman. Thankfully not very many people would fall for such a mob-mobilizing stunt. Sadly enough do. I wonder how many opponent of the guest worker program (which has limits on the numbers allowed, requires maximum stays, has that tamper-proof IDz with an expiration date to get jobs, and no option to apply for citizenship) will take O’Reilly to task for this?

Some how, only half of my last post, is there. Too bad, I took on so much more. WHERE DID IT GO??

And I’m not sure what your claim is when you say those who don’t want guest workers. These people are not going to be guest workers. The bill only provides for 200,000 guest workers. What I don’t want, can’t speak for anyone else, is a bill that allows for a path to citizenship for those who have entered our country illegally. Issue them guest worker permits. As many as you need to cover those here that are working. But don’t put them on a path to citizenship because they managed to get here illegally. I am not even advocating for not allowing them citizenship, at some point. But not just because they got here and we don’t know what to do with them.

It could also stop “sanctuary cities” where federal laws are ignored”

AJ says “the new bill attemps to do that”. Well, not exactly, AJ.

Norm Coleman’s amendment that would end “sanctuary cities” was defeated and so is off the table now completely. Seven Republican Senators voted against it killing the amendment.

So ending sanctuary cities is like you telling us that the illegals will have to pay back taxes. Those things are GONE WITH THE WASHINGTON WIND.

    and enforcement:

Let me explain this as best I can:

I went to google. I looked up immigration reform bill. There were several hits. Several sites had posted what they said was the bill. I read what I saw. I thought that was what you were talking about. I honestly did not realize that what I was reading was not what you were talking about. I did not realize that you wanted me to go to pdf or something and read hundreds of pages of text. Really. I thought what I read was the bill because that is what the sites said it was. Do you understand what I am saying?

  7. AJStrata says:

    Sue,

The bill provides for the 12-20 million immigrants here with long roots (no recent arrivals will be included) to either become guest workers OR get in line for permanent work status and citizenship. The 200,000 a year only deals with new arrivals. But they fall into the ‘guest worker’ status in many ways. Including the fact they need to be and stay crime free. The one-strike-your-out provision will reduce crime by getting rid of the criminal element and making the cost of crime so how those who get to stay here much less likely to try crime.

Most of the illegals I run into here plan to return and not become citizens. I think a sizable portion are like this. These folks will opt into the guest worker program and then, if things work well, go back home. That is why there do exist plausible scenarios where immigration slows and the number of immigrants actually goes down here. These are in many ways as or more plausible than the scare-scenarios peddled by the opponents. But the opponents do not acknowledge the possibility of things working to some degree! That would really ruin their Chicken Little stories.

  8. AJStrata says:

    R05,

Yes, Coleman’s amendment was defeated by 1-2 votes because the Immigration Hypochondriacs voted AGAINST it. Which is why they have no credibility because they killed an amendment that would fix short comings and solve problems they claim are important. But when the test came, they killed it off. Yeah, I knew that. And I knew it should have passed because it was popular and right. Incredible (pun intended).

AJ, if someone steals your Social Security number and SS is allowed to share that information with the IRS (payments made under your number) can you please explain to me why that information cannot be shared with the FBI? Can you please explain to me why the person who has stolen the SS# cannot be arrested? I want you to explain to me how we are going to coordinate all law agencies to find out if the illegals have a criminal history when Social Security tells me they don’t have the authority to share information with the FBI?
Why is the clown who stole my SS# still working in the U.S. when SS knows where he is?
This comes back to the impossibility of doing background checks.

Obviously, AJ’s education into Islam is lacking. Islam is far more than a religion, it is a way of life. It is Sharia Law, it is Indoctrination of Children pre K, into the Love of Jihad, and the desire to serve Allah, by killing Infidels. It is total Submission to serve Allah. Woman have no rights. They must have several witnesses to even claim rape. If they are raped, their families shun them, as though THEY did something wrong. Men can have Multiple Wives, stoning, beheadings, cutting off limbs, such as left hand, right foot, are common.
    You see I read Books.
I’d say ask Thoe Van Gogh if he thinks Islam is a religion, or a way of life. You see, he asked Ayaan Hirst Ali to make a short 12 minute film called Submission. Well, it seems the Truth about how Woman are treated under Islam, was too much for his attacker. He shot him twice, slit his throat, and stabed a note thru his heart, then left. She spent the next year living on the run, with the help of Dutch Authorities.
All she did was speak the truth.
I’d recommend reading up on a subjuct, prior to responding.

We are not a Democracy. If we were, we would not have Representatives and Senators, much less a President. We would just have direct voting on all the issues, and the majority would win.

It’s not “To the Democricy for which it stands, it is to the Republic, for which it stands”. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Might I suggest reading the Islam Books I’ve read.
    Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali
Because They Hate by Brigitte Gabriel
Why I Left Jihad by Walid Shoebat
Now They Call Me Infidel by Nonie Darwish
The Truth About Muhammad by Robert Spencer
    America Alone by Mark Steyn
And of course the Documentaries Islam: What the West Needs To Know, and Obsession. That will bring you up to speed.

  11. AJStrata says:

    R05,

I am not here to educate you. Clearly we need the Bill to help fix the problems. But your solution to the challenge of background checks is to do nothing. Sorry – bad solution. You turn a problem into a clear failure.

All or nothing you say. Well, nothing is clearly not an option…..

  12. Terrye says:

this is the sort of site I am talking about. I have to say, my eyes glazed over. I have no idea if this is still up to date however. So when I said I read the bill, this is the kind of thing I was reading. There are other websites which have what they said were copies of the bill as well.

    Martinez (R-FL)

    Voinovich (R-Ohio)

These are a list of the Republicans that voted against the Coleman amendment that would end sanctuary cities. These are AJ’s new “immigration hypochrondiacs”.

  14. stevevvs says:

Luckily for me, I must leave the Strata Sphere for today. I can only take so much insanity in one sitting. If all of my post that got cut off reappears somehow, I’d appreciate it.

Boogitie ,Boogitie,Boogitie, let’s go Racin Boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Retire 05,

    As usual, AJ looks “Silly”

Great response. I just wish all of my rebuttle had made the posting, but sadly, it’s not there. Maybe my Dial up is the problem. Anyway, I gotta go!! Carry on Retire o5!!

  16. Bikerken says:

AJ said “To take work force enforcement seriously we need those tamper proof ID and the guest worker program. …. Of course, there is no way NOW for employers to validate any IDs. None. They can only check if the person has one.”

What the heck is a green card? What is a social security card? What happens when an employer reports a number to the SSA and the SSA finds out it’s bogus. NOTHING! The SSA informs the employer who knows it’s bogus to begins with and the SSA tells him to try again. While I am totally for a national tamper proof ID card, for everyone, citizen and resident, it isn’t the card itself that will do anything, it has to be coupled with govt agencies that will do their damend job! That’s what makes the difference!

    AJ

You are looking at this thing with Rose colored glasses you stated:

“Yes, Coleman’s amendment was defeated by 1-2 votes because the Immigration Hypochondriacs voted AGAINST it. ”

The list of republicans that voted against were

    Graham (R-SC)
    Hagel (R-NE)
    Lugar (R-IN)
    Martinez (R-FL)
    Snowe (R-ME)
    Specter (R-PA)
    Voinovich (R-OH)

So AJ please point out to me which of the above republican senators are the Immigration Hypochondriacs?

  18. AJStrata says:

    cmptrnrd (nice handle),

I stand corrected. See, I am not an ogre – I am just depicted as one by the immigration hypochondriacs (and yes, part of the game of politics is labeling and framing – welcome to politics).

  19. Bikerken says:

I still haven’t heard any mention from anybody pushing this bill what is going to happen to the current legal immigration system. Are we really going to tell the millions of people waiting in line in their home countries to stay there and keep waiting while we give those law breakers who broke in and stole identities legalized status to work here, travel back and forth back home, get drivers licenses and even vote? What a slap in the face! And those are the ones with educations, background checks, physicals and are extremely desireable to bring here. I don’t get it.

  20. Sue says:

The bill provides for the 12-20 million immigrants here with long roots (no recent arrivals will be included) to either become guest workers OR get in line for permanent work status and citizenship.

I know, no one after January 1, 2007. How’s that for no recent arrivals?

As you will note, from what I posted earlier, I agree with half of what that portion of the bill provides.

Anyway, what happens if say, 5 million of those do neither? Are you ready to round them up and deport then? And what constitutes a crime? Besides already breaking our laws by just being here, how are you going to determine if they broke additional laws by using ss#s that didn’t belong to them? And do you think those people should get a pass too?
