The Coming Middle East War

Published by at 3:31 am under All General Discussions,Bin Laden/GWOT

al Qaeda has decided to go ‘all in’ and take their losing fight to the Muslim street as they are being routed in Iraq. al Qaeda is fairly predictable. They get bellicose when they are losing and quiet when things are going their way. I posted previously on how al Qaeda was setting the stage to bring on the regional war between the Islamo Fascists and the moderate Muslim street – and now al Qaeda is declaring this war is to begin:

THE deputy leader of Al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has urged supporters in Iraq to extend their “holy war” to other Middle Eastern countries.

In a letter sent to the leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq in the past few weeks, Zawahiri claims that it is defeating US forces and urges followers to expand their campaign of terror.

He conjures a vision of an Islamic state comprising Lebanon, Palestine and Syria, where Al-Qaeda has already gained its first footholds.

The goal of an Islamic “greater Syria”, first outlined by Zawahiri two years ago, is detailed in the letter amid growing concern about the activities of new groups under Al-Qaeda’s influence in the countries concerned.

al Qaeda is on the ropes and trying to not fall into oblivion. Like a drug addict unable to see the warning signs on the path to an overdose, al qaeda keeps escalating their efforts across multiple fronts. Which is the classic mistake of the power drunk. By opening fronts against other ME countries al Qaeda is creating the more and more forces aligned against them. Only someone desparate would try such a stunt as this.

Probably most of the smart and clever people in Al Quaeda have been captured and killed and they are left with the not so smart as leaders. And the not so smart make more mistakes and don’t realize the repercussions of their actions. Let’s hope we capture and kill more of their not so smart leaders so they are left with the very dumb. That seems to what is going on. Al Quaeda is making mistake after mistake and losing the support of the arab street. But even the very dumb are dangerous, perhaps even more so than clever people.
