Media Bias On Parade

Published by at 12:36 pm under All General Discussions,Iraq

There are rare moments when the media’s liberal bias comes shining through in blinding clarity, but today Reuters provided one of those glaring examples:

Soft-spoken, mild-mannered Senate Majority leader Harry Reid has found himself doing a lot of explaining since he bluntly pronounced President George W. Bush’s war in Iraq lost.

This is classic liberal denial. This is America’s war on Iraq blessed by votes in Congress and clear bipartisan majorities. With her blinders fully in place to the ramifications of a loss in Iraq, all the reporter sees is a Bush failure – not the geo-political tsunami that would impact this country as al Qaeda declares success and rounds up support for the full up Global Jihad. This is why liberals do not understand what they are demanding. They are so fixated on Bush the political opponent they have lost all grasp of what it means when we look at Bush the Leader of The Free World.

The trip of the bias comes as the reporter is clearly forced to address all the mistakes Sen Surrender has made in the last week.

The 67-year-old Democrat from the tiny town of Searchlight in Nevada, who voted in 2002 for the invasion of Iraq, has become Bush’s nemesis in the Senate where he is trying to shepherd legislation bringing most U.S. combat troops home.

A couple of years ago, when Democrats were fighting to wrest Congress from Bush’s Republicans, Reid told a high school audience Bush was a “loser.” He called the White House and apologized immediately.

Last week after he declared “this war is lost,” Reid ignored a torrent of Republican demands that he apologize or retract his statement.

Clearly the reporter tried as hard as she could to make this Reid against Bush, when in reality it is Reid against the President of The United States in a time of war while our troops are fighting on the front lines. When it is Reid against America’s interest and her troops, then Reid is aligned against the best interests of this nation. The delusion Bush is not part of America, representing America and upon whom America’s interest lie is the epitome of liberal denial. And it is why Reid and his liberal followers are so dangerous to all of us. Delusion is a danger.

People seem to have forgotten that back in October 2002 when the Congress gave Bush authority to go into Iraq the Senate was controlled by the Democrats. They lost control in the midterms that followed that vote and it seems they decided after that to be as difficult as possible. But they can not deny the fact that they had been in control of much of the government, including the intel community at the time the war in Iraq was voted on.

The media full court press that I predicted has now started. They are determined to have the new security plan declared a failure before it even gets fully underway. They are determined to prevent it from ever being fully implemented. They are determined to create a failure in Iraq and cause the American people to want to quit.

Baloney. The votes were based upon conscious and intentional lies promulgated by the most corrupt and incompetent regime in American history. This is George Bush\’s war – not America\’s.

Hey Soothie, tell me what you are smoking in your Bong, and where to buy some, I want to live in your fantasy world as well!

  5. crosspatch says:

Actually, Soothie, those lies must have come from the Clinton administration because they are the same “lies” the Democrats have been spouting since the late 1990’s … when Clinton officially changed US policy on Iraq to “regime change”.

  6. Aitch748 says:

No, it’s America’s war. Hell, it’s the WORLD’S war. It’s the hirabah (sinful warfare, usually wrongly referred to as “jihad”) waged by the mufsidun (evil people, a.k.a. terrorists) against all unbelievers — hell, they’ll even blow up huge numbers of people who are supposedly fellow believers if they think it might help their cause.

What is this “George Bush’s war” nonsense? Do people think that the mufsidun are just going to throw down their arms and take an oath of pacifism on January 20, 2009?

SS, crosspatch just pitched you inside, get back in the box and try harder.

    soothie:

In 99 the UN said Saddam had weapons, In 98 Clinton said Saddam had weapons and was an evil man who was a threat to his people and the United States and should be removed from power. In 2002 the Democrats in the Senate and the Democrat CIA official Tenet said Saddam had ties to AlQaida and weapons and should be removed from power. No matter who won the 2000 elections these things would not have changed. Now if you can think of a way that the Governor of Texas was responsible for the findings and policy of the Clinton administration and the Democrats in the Senate I would love to hear it.

    Soothie

A post or two back I spoke of someone taking a match to your a**.

The more I watch you and how unhinged you are becoming now the more I am convinced you wouldn’t even recognize your going down in flames if someone poked a flamethrower in your face.

He’s my President and this is MY war. The only reason the deceivers and idiots get away with this crap is because they have a free MSM Army. I am so glad everytime I see a post on the bias. It is not just bias though……this is full scale warfare being waged against us. They (the MSM Army) actually want us to lose the war in Iraq and have worked every day to that end.

Everyone remember the WH dinner where Crow jumped Rove? What I noticed was the insulting non-applause by these foot soldiers. And then there was this……
“Association President Steve Scully urged the crowd to set politics aside for one night. “An adversary is not the same thing as an enemy,” he said in his opening remarks, “and an evening of civility does not mean we are selling out.”

This was a WP article (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/22/AR2007042200353_2.html?nav=hcmodule ) that I thought told the game plan.

Why did Scully have to beg his crowd to be nice??? Why did he have to tell them that the President was not the enemy?? What in the heck would make him think to be in the same room as the President was “selling out”???

Folks…………these ARE the enemy and the Pugs in Congress need to understand that to win ANY war……..they have to fight and get a game plan. First, you need to identify who is firing the bullets. Who has convinced the public these pack of lies are Truth? This is a MSM Army and it is killing our troops.

Soothsayer hasn’t fully grasped yet that he and those of his socio-political ilk would be the first marched to the beheading field if these people get their wish. Or maybe soothie will be one of the first to convert.

I disagree with AJ — the glaring media bias he posits here is not rare, and I think most of us posting on AJ’s site know this. This is more than a nuissance or annoyance, this is widespread, disturbing and dangerous. Our enemies use it as propoganda against us, not that the libs or dems care.

There is so much half-truths and mis-information (see Soothy) reported as news. Bill Moyers, who happens to be on the board of one of Soros’ groups, is presenting a deceitful, disingenuous report on PBS that purports to show how the media was in cahoots with a lying, hell-bent warmongering administration — pure garbage, but the guy is touted as a fair & respected journalist. (maybe he was at one time, but he’s a lying hack now.) And of course there’s the full-court press on the global warming charade, which is being drummed into young school children.
