Syria And Iran Planning War With Israel?
Boy, Harry Reid could not have picked a worse time to surrender to al Qaeda. Folks who naively thought the Islamo Fascists would whither away forgot the lesson of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. The closer we got to the end the more horrific the fighting. These people, happy to die for their cause, will fight to the death they so covet. And when we succeed even marginally these people will step up their stakes, not fold their hand.
So when we read that Syria has just given Israel an ultimatum they must follow or there will be war then we have to understand why this is happening.
Syria has been openly preparing for war since the last summer. And in the space of the past week alone, the Syrians twice announced their intention to attack Israel. On Monday, Syria’s Propaganda Minister Moshen Bilal threatened that if Israel doesn’t fully implement the Arab plan which calls for its retreat to the 1949 armistice lines and acceptance of millions of Arab immigrants, Syria will go to war. On Wednesday, Syrian dictator Bashar Assad said, “We always prepare ourselves. Israel is a fierce enemy. We have seen nothing from it but harm.”
It looks like Syria is out on a limb it cannot climb back. Either Israel complies or Syria says “never mind”? I don’t think so. And if Syria goes to war Iran will not be far behind. The question is whether these bellicose ultimatums are from a position of strength or panic. We all recall how Saddam Hussein tried to bring Isreal into the Kuwait conflict in Gulf War I. It was an act of desperation Hussein hoped would tear the coalition apart. Syria and Iran may be thinking that inflaming the ME in a broader war against Israel they will force Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia to take sides and they will side against Israel.
The reason the region is not now in a broader war is the presence of the US in Iraq and the region with plenty of fire power to inflict serious damage on anyone who attacks Israel. But if Syria and Iran want to start a broader conflict then that deterrant may actually be what they may be planning on. Reid’s idiotic surrender on Iraq will only create more bad decisions on the part of Islamo Fascists. Reid just gave them reason to become more bold, not less. Reid waved the red flag and the Bulls are ready to charge. If they feel we are running away they may come to the terrible conclusion we will leave Israel unprotected. This is one of many reasons why Sen Reid may have just brought the world closer to wide spread conflict. Never assume fascists will make sane and reasonable decisions. Let us not forget the damage of Nancy Pelosis’ visit as well. Just her presence was a clear message of capitulation in a Middle East dictator’s mind. Let alone the fact that she misrepresented the interrests of Israel and her own country. I think her visit along with Reid’s continued cowardliness sent a very wrong message that we and Israel may pay dearly for.
Iran doesn’t have to have their finger prints on what Syria, Hamas and Hezbolah do, the West Bank and Gaza are ready as well. Israel will need our help, this is Iran’s idea of getting rid of Israel. I wonder what Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan will do?
One strategy I might attempt if I were Israel would be to begin construction of millions of inexpensive unguided rockets. I would also issue a standing warning to the people in Lebanon and Syria that if they ever see the launch of a rocket from their town, that is their signal to evacuate because a barrage of unbelievable proportion will be on its way in return. Israel should respond with 10,000 rockets of the same type for every one that is fired at it and the response should go right back to the same locations that fired at Israel. That way the residents see the rocket go out, and the see the result come back a thousand fold. By the same token, areas that are able to convince the military not to fire or prevent them from firing by some other means from their town are spared.

The problem is that we didn’t elect Pelosi. She represents only one small district in San Francisco and can only be voted out by that one small district (fat chance). That is the primary problem. She wasn’t elected by the people to represent us but she is taking it upon herself to pretend to do so.
