Waziristan Is Heating Up

Published by at 1:07 pm under All General Discussions,Pakistan

The clashes betweent Taliban linked tribes in Northern Pakistan and the al Qaeda linked foreign fighters is heating up and the al Qaeda forces are taking move forces to internal boundaries with Waziristan:

Troops of Pakistan Army have been deployed in Shin Warsik area, west of Wana, to beef up security of the area, said Director General ISPR Major General Wahid Arshad.

He told APP on Friday that the troops are not taking part in the fighting going on between the local tribesmen and foreign militants in south of Waziristan.

There are reports that the local tribes have asked Pakistani forces for support in clearing out the al Qaeda Uzbeks. This has pushed the terrorists into the need to kidnap local teenagers to man their forces.

Unfortunately Gul Afzal is not the only father searching for his lost son. There are many families who are desperate to get news of missing brothers and sons in the autonomous North and South Waziristan, and Tank, Dir, Buner and Mardan districts in NWFP.

Intelligence officials told IPS that one year ago, some militants took a 15-year-old boy from Shabqadar village to South Waziristan Agency where he was given training to be a suicide bomber.

Clearly al Qaeda is NOT getting a ground swell of recruits if they have to kidnap and enslave young kids. Maybe this lack of support form the Muslim street is why all the terrorist groups were so happy about Pelosi’s trip to the ME to surrender for the US.

Oh, we actually have a problem.

    Because of the opium crops.

And, the fact that they’ve been sold and transported for a very long time! Once, of course, they made their ways around the globe, by being carried on the backs of donkeys. To ships.

Imagine my surprise when I learned “spice Islands” didn’t mean pepper. It meant OPIUM.

The Taliban thought they’d interfere with that trade?

By the way, “society” up in them there those hills differs mightely from the stuff we take for granted. It’s almost a miracle that the Taliban got installed. Is it the money? There don’t seem to be any banks?

Are we really ready for all these conflicts?

Personally, I think it helps us learn more about slums. Because it’s not only up in the unpronounce-able warizstan that we’re dealing with dope dealers. And, people who want them to be “saved.” Once, alas, the province of missionaries. Who no longer trek to foreign lands.

Well, if our military won’t do it, who will? The global village has needs, ya know, that contain … well, containment.

While al-kay-da is an offshoot of the House of Saud. Not all of fisal’s progeny are involved in anything much, beyond spending their obscene money. And, most much prefer Switzerland.

They’re a scourge on Switzerland, too.

But the NUMBER! The number is more finite that the number of pakistani filth. One worry. Or the other. I guess it depends if you’rein India. Or not, though? Huh? Because it’s the “Bad Lands.” When America had indians, we had those.

Do you think, ahead, history will be as kind to the schleppers in the opium hills?

Bill Roggio’s take on the conflict is that the internecine fighting going on right now isn’t between Al Qaeda and anti-Al Qaeda forces, it’s been those who believe Musharraf should be enemy number one and those who believe that incurring Musharraf’s wrath will only derail the global jihad in other arenas. In other words, Musharraf is the wrong battle in the wrong place at the wrong time.
