A Truly Naive Senator

Published by at 7:38 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

Democrat Senator Mark Pryor is grossly naive:

The Arkansas Democrat is a key holdout on his party’s proposal to approve $122 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan while setting a goal of March 31, 2008, for winding up military operations in Iraq. Unlike the plan’s Republican opponents, Pryor wants a withdrawal deadline of some kind. He just doesn’t want anyone outside the White House, Congress and the Iraqi government to know what it is.

“My strong preference would be to have a classified plan and a classified timetable that should be shared with Congress,” Pryor said yesterday. A public deadline would tip off the enemy, “who might just bide their time and wait for us to leave,” he said. “Then you’d have chaos and mayhem and instability.”

Congress leaks like a seive on a good day. There is lots of hints the entire exposure of the NSA listening in on terrorists, the tracking of their money transfers with the help of Europe, and the CIA handling of terrorists were ALL exposed by people on the Hill. Not to mention Sen Rockefeller’s own admission he ran to Syria to give the only other Baathist dictator in the world the heads up the US was going to invade.

We have the Dems in the House ready to surrender in August of ’08 and the Dems in the Senate wanting to surrender by March ’08. We have whimpering Hagle demand we surrender now or Bush will be impeached. But only Bush and a few others with spines are saying we leave when we succeed in establishing a stable (not violence free) Iraq. That way there is no secret to when we will fold. That way the terrorists KNOW we are in this to the end and they will give up.

Want to know what is not a secret? How dumb an idea this is and how many desperate surrender monkeys will grab on to it.

It takes 6 month to get the troops and equipment out, don’t you think someone will see us leaving?
