A Tragic Loss Of One Of God’s Creatures

Published by at 6:14 am under All General Discussions

It is disturbing when an entire species hits extinction. The Tasmanian Wolf/Tiger was lost in the last century. And it seems the White-fin Dolphin of China may be lost this century. Note the difference between China’s ecological record and that of America’s. We actually lead the world in how cleanly we support large numbers of people.

There have been some fairly well-authenticated sightings of the Tasmanian Tiger on mainland Australia recently.

Also, thanks for keeping up on the polonium story.

When I was a child the air in Pittsburgh wasn’t fit to breathe. The air in Los Angeles would literally choke you. The water in Cheseapeake Bay was covered with floating mats of multicolored foams and dead fish. The Potomac and Hudson were for all practical purposes dead.

We have come a long way in this country and my children are getting a much cleaner country than the one I was given. One of the benefits of the end of the cold war has been the cleanup of Eastern Europe. It has a long way to go but it is underway.

I just wish people whould hold China, India, and Brazil to the same standards they would want to hold the US to.
