What A Democrat Surrender Would Bring

Published by at 9:32 am under All General Discussions,Bin Laden/GWOT

We spent the 1990’s listening to a Democrat administration ignoring the warning signs surrounding Islamo-fascism. We attempted to wage a war in our courts. We refused to use military force because of the ineptitude surrounding the debacle in Somalia. The Democrats are back and ready to go back to the 1990’s – and pave the way once again to disaster. I still see clear signs that the party of FDR is now the party of Neville Chamberlain. The idea we can leave Iraq without meeting our objectives is ignorance to the point of insanity. The fight against the last fascist movement required years of war, but decades of deployment. As LJStrata likes to ask, when did we finally get out of Germany after WW II? For those on the left it must be pointed out the Reagan and Bush I oversaw the final battle and victory of WW II in Europe when the Berlin Wall came down.

So what would happen if the Democrats get their phased surrender? First and foremost, the anti-Jewish fever would escalate to a rabid pitch as the Arab street assumed America had no spine for war. And Israel would become the nexus of all that hate.

Iranian newspapers Kehyan and and Resalat have urged Muslims around the world to prepare for a ‘great war’ to destroy the State of Israel.

The newspapers published the editorials, translated from Persian by MEMRI , the Middle East translation service, to mark ‘Quds’ day on October 20, an Iranian ‘holiday’ calling for the “liberation” of Jerusalem and war against Israel.

“Hizbullah destroyed at least half of Israel in the Lebanon war… Now only half the path (to its destruction) remains,” an editorial in the conservative Keyhan newspaper declared.

It continued: “Just as in one 33-day war more than 50 percent of Israel was destroyed, and the hope of its supporters for the continued life of this regime was broken, it is likely that in the next battle, the second half will also collapse.”

“On that day… Jordan will not be able to prevent the Jordanian Islamists from operating through the long Jordan-Palestine border, and the millions of Egyptian Islamists… will not let the Sinai-Israel border remain quiet, and the Syrian Golan Heights will not remain as a (mere) observer of the battle. That day is not so far off.”

The Democrats are blind to these warning signs. And in fact, I don’t think many of them care if Israel is destroyed. I know much of the left doesn’t. But the warning signs are clear. We can do this one of two ways. We can get over the fact Iraq is tough (anyone who didn’t realize this in 2003 was just not paying attention) and keep pushing for success until we get there. Or we can pull back, let the ME erupt and a few nukes go off, and then go in and deal with the mess until it gets fixed. The path towards the least death and destruction and time is to, yes, stay the course. All other ‘courses’ result in a disaster 100 times worse than things are now. No one said life was easy. I wish the image we had of the world in the 1990’s had been real. It wasn’t. And pretending it was is just repeating that mistake again. Only this time the stakes are even higher. And they will continue to rise until we win. That is what wars are all about. Remember, we did not declare the war. We just need to win it.

Before our LePen friend chimes in…..

The problem is NO education on the founding of Israel. The average American knows nothing about the how and why of the founding.
The predominate view is a false one…that Israel ‘stole’ the lands. That lie has become the lefts truth. I believe Lenin said ‘A lie told often enough becomes the truth’.

Israel will be hung out to dry by the left. It would be America’s biggest shame. We would never recover the respect of any nation if we allow Israel to be destroyed. Israel’s back is against the wall.

Please find out just how the Israeli nation was put together, why it fought it’s wars, and how the feckless U.N. is determined to destroy it’s own child.

And for our home grown LePen’r………..have another Bagel on me.

The democrats are not so stupid that they believe there is no war on terror. They pretend there is not in order to oppose Bush They cannot let him made any headway in the ME or the GWOT or Iraq or anything else. It’s all politics.

“Destroy Israel” is the rallying cry to unite the muslims just as “Remember the Alamo” was the rallying cry for us. Depicting the Israelis as evil people who stole the land of our brothers works very well for them. What else do they have when you think about it? They can’t say “Fight and die so the mullahs can rule the world”. That would not work.

The number one issue in the last election was GWOT and the Iraq war. It should have been the only issue it is that important. And it is the number one reason I fear the democrats. They will do nothing to ensure our safety. This is why I am so appalled that they won.

Limerick-Thank you for giving me the opportunity to applaud a great work outlining the terroristic founding of the state of Israel by a noble Christian Palestinian academic. And thank you for associating me with a man which honor I do not deserve, not being a war hero myself.

Yes, like John Murtha, and unlike Dickie Cheney and Georgie Bush, Jean Marie LePen was a war hero… in the French Algerian war.

    And Strata…

“we can do this one of two ways”….yeah, boy!

We can get out of Iraq and take our beating like humbled men
now , learning a lesson. Or we can stay as long as you like and
take a worse beating with the same end result. Which is, no way
Iraq will have an America-friendly government when it finally
stabilizes, regardless of its exact ethnic components.

Strata, your dismissal of the wishes of 65% of the electorate on Iraq
which has made clear its desire for withdrawal, only disagreeing on
the timed increments says much about your belief in democratic process.

Don’t worry Ken…a simple google search of your Palestine Encly will be enough for the readers to understand just exactly where they publican comes from……

Thank you for the opportunity to again remind the readers that Israel has real enemies in the world.

    Your Arabophobia is showing again.

I wonder about Ken. I really do. He uses obscure quotes from obscure people, obscure questionable polls all the time, and now he cites an obscure French politician about an obscure French war. What is the point of all this?

I cannot figure out who Ken admires the most. Buchanan? Murtha? LePen? These three seem to be men with diverse ideologies so it is hard to admire all three at the same time except that all three are extrmists of one kind or another. Maybe Ken admires extremism more than anything.

I don’t wonder about Ken. He’s just a bitter fool who sees a Jewish conspiracy behind everything.

Le Pen has only become a featured personality in my comments
because For Enforcement allowed his Francophobia to get the better of him in the manner you erroneously believe anti-semitism has got the bettter of me (anti-Zionism is not anti-semtiism.) He took delight
in a series of posts accusing me of being French; if he had made
the same foolish and childish derogations but associated them
with Brits or Spanish or Hungarians, I would have simply
featured a nationalist leader in one of those countries in my replies.

Buchanan has spoke with favor about Murtha’s realism about the war,
so as is so often the case, you don’t have much of a point there.
