Cantwell Not Doing Well

More poll trouble for Cantwell:

A new Washington poll released Tuesday by the Republican-leaning polling firm Strategic Vision found Cantwell leading McGavick by a 48 percent to 43 percent margin with an error margin of 3 percent. The poll questioned 800 likely voters on Aug. 25-27, and its results mirrored the findings of a Rasmussen poll last week that showed Cantwell’s lead narrowing to 46 percent to 40 percent.

An incumbent Democrat in a Blue state should never be polling below 50% and hope to hold on.

Unless she just happens to find fake votes to put her in front.

Unfortunately Lurker, nothing has really changed King County’s processes. If anything the move to mail in balloting makes it more likely than less. My real intent in posting however is to alert the readers to a more recent, but questionable, poll which provides Cantwell w/ a significant lead. The internals are questionable (per Sound Politics), but it was taken after the release of McGavick’s prior 13 year old DUI.
