I am on the road attending meetings so blogging will be light today and tomorrow. But time enough to pass on some interesting news, some of which came from our readers.

Reader Ordi noticed this comment by Democrat Senate Leader Reid regarding censure and the NSA, warning that criminal probes are ongoing and some Democrats are in the cross hairs – like Dick Durbin?

On the Senate side, Sen. Harry Reid and his chairman of the DSCC, Sen. Chuck Schumer, continue to press the anti-war rhetoric as key to their success. On Thursday afternoon, Reid took heat from some members for his soft response to Republicans who called Democrat bluffs on a censure vote against President Bush for the NSA overseas terrorist monitoring program.

According to sources with knowledge of the closed-door meeting, Reid pushed back on his colleagues, telling them that it wasn’t a good idea to vote to censure anyone with ties to the NSA program, particularly since there was a criminal investigation underway to determine who had leaked the NSA program’s specifics, and that investigation could enmesh one or more of their own.

Well, Harry Reid should know. What is amazing is the Democrats think they can fall behind Russ Fiengold’s grass roots effort without getting damaged by acts which tipped of Al Qaeda on what steps we were taking to stop their attempts to kill Americans and how to get around them.

Folks, the dodgy connection killed half this post.  The final part was about a CNN anchor on American Morning around 7:20 AM repeated a rumor that the bodies being found in Baghdad were victims of the US military.  It was some guy named John sitting in for Miles Obrien.  The comments came at the end of the segment and surprised the reporter in Baghdad.  This is just pathetic.

Have  a good day!
