Risking Our Troops’ Lives For A Scoop

Michelle Malkin linked to this story in Town Hall about lazy, inaccurate reporting and how it endangers the lives. When does the press become criminally negligable for their actions? I fail to understand why we can hold the media accountable for negligent driving which leads to a death on the way to a story, and not hold them accountable for negligence in reporting the story that leads to a death.

Lack of oversight of the press is one of my biggest rants, AJ.

However I suspect that press accountability – heretofore only found in a courtroom by the very wealthy, able to finance a lengthy appellate process – might be coming with the NSA investigation and the NYTs part in disseminating secret monitoring programs to the enemy via their news outlets.
