Controlling The Masses Through The IRS

OK, now that the liberals have tipped their hand everyone can step back and assess this first step in remaking America. What we saw was bribes and kickbacks using taxpayer money to get this reeking carcass across the finish line. Exemptions for some states, exemptions for special interests (unions), forced purchasing of products (which is a forced bribe for insurance execs ready to make a killing and retire), airport funds, hospital funds, funds, funds funds.

And in return premiums will sky rocket to cover the new mandates, huge government infrastructure will be put in place to ration care when the money gets tight, and the IRS will charged to ensure this proper behavior is followed by the masses.

And that folks is the bottom line here. What liberals did was create the myth of mass victimhood which could only be fixed if Americans gave up their freedom of choice and succumbed to the IRS to decide if they were acting properly. Cries to help false victims turns to loss of self determination monitored by IRS.

Get used to this behavioral control. We have been on this slippery slope for some time now, and the future controls we will be asked to accept will be far more reaching. Under Cap & Tax we begin to give up choices in small luxuries. Boats and campers will become too expensive. Large cars will become too expensive, trips by airline, single user cars…

The victim is planet earth, and we are going to be asked to give up endless access to energy (all we can afford right now) to save the planet. And the IRS will right there watching us.

Where will it end? Will we give up more free speech for those sensitive victims who crumble at a crude joke or a publicly spoken prayer? Will we give up the right to buy a high calorie, fast food meal in order to not over use the now common-shared health care dollars? Will we be told no more large screen, high powered gaming systems to save power and stop cluttering land fills? Will we be forced to give up personal transportation (except bicycles)?

Americans are rightly upset with the madness now taking hold in DC. We could have helped those supposed victims many ways without allowing the IRS to tax and monitor us for our own good. When we go months and no one is seeing any substantive change (like we did with the failed stimulus bill), I think America will be more than ready to pull the plug on this mess.

Liberals forget one important thing about politics – if you promise miracles you better come through. Here are 2o things people are not aware will happen now, which will eliminate the celebrations. For example:

2. You are young and healthy and want to pay for insurance that reflects that status? Tough. You’ll have to pay for premiums that cover not only you, but also the guy who smokes three packs a day, drink a gallon of whiskey and eats chicken fat off the floor. That’s because insurance companies will no longer be able to underwrite on the basis of a person’s health status. (Section 2701).

3. You would like to pay less in premiums by buying insurance with lifetime or annual limits on coverage? Tough. Health insurers will no longer be able to offer such policies, even if that is what customers prefer. (Section 2711).

6. You must buy a policy that covers ambulatory patient services, emergency services, hospitalization, maternity and newborn care, mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment; prescription drugs; rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices; laboratory services; preventive and wellness services; chronic disease management; and pediatric services, including oral and vision care.

You’re a single guy without children? Tough, your policy must cover pediatric services. You’re a woman who can’t have children? Tough, your policy must cover maternity services. You’re a teetotaler? Tough, your policy must cover substance abuse treatment. (Add your own violation of personal freedom here.) (Section 1302).

10. You are an employer who offers health flexible spending arrangements and your employees want to deduct more than $2,500 from their salaries for it? Sorry, can’t do that. (Section 9005 (i)).

11. If you are a physician and you don’t want the government looking over your shoulder? Tough. The Secretary of Health and Human Services is authorized to use your claims data to issue you reports that measure the resources you use, provide information on the quality of care you provide, and compare the resources you use to those used by other physicians. Of course, this will all be just for informational purposes. It’s not like the government will ever use it to intervene in your practice and patients’ care. Of course not. (Section 3003 (i))

Some warning signs for the Dems f0r this fall:

Barbara Boxer in CA is now polling well below 50% and is statistically tied with all her GOP challengers.

Fly over country is turning bright, angry red

The States are rising up, and they have the constitutional power to undo anything Congress does if two thirds decide to join forces. More than two thirds are right now passing laws to strike down Obamacare’s core issue, mandated insurance. The pieces are set for a national convention to trim DC way back.

The healthcare mess we can undo. Giving the Democrats millions of new voters and enlarging the dependent class is a permenant suicide gesture ofr the nation.

Someone needs to get Lindsay Graham to back off. This is the worst time to take up the immigration battle. The Dems. will ram this through easier that healthcare because of the Rinos in the Republican Party.

We need a new leader in the party. Someone who has some guts and leadership. Steele is feckless.

By and large these people have no allegiance to this country and will vote for the “leftist” interest. George Bush is to be thanked for this mess.

I think your right, AJ. The only way Washington’s power is going to be pushed back is through a constitutional convention. The entrenched political class in Washington right now will do nothing to curtail their own power. It has to be the states! This is the brilliance of our constitution – now matter how powerful arrogant or far reaching our national political leaders become the states can always stop them.

Charles Krauthammer made an excellent observation… likely true… As the costs mount… The only REAL source of extra $$ is a VAT… Value Added Tax…

They won’t take half a trillion $$ out of medicare …
    .
    Hmmm… Increased taxes… what a surprise…

In a previous post I made the point that Electronic Medical Records will be impossible to control . Your medial privacy is a thing of the past!!!

Imagine the number of people who will stop going to their doctor for privacy reasons.

They just created America’s KGB. Which agency do the people fear more than any other? IRS.

It’s time for the CongressCritters to speak in plain language that all can understand. I always want to just shake them. This Obamacare not only creates Death Panels but IRS-KGB.

I said a long time ago that this reminds me of people being loaded onto trains. I do not think most Americans (even the mad ones) understand this connection.

Apparently the solution to the problem of 30 million people not having healthcare insurance is to make us live in a close analog of the Soviet Union and to live in fear of inadvertently crossing some authority figure. I guess giving rewards to busybody neighbors for ratting you out to the IRS isn’t far off, and in another year I guess we’ll be seeing bread lines in cities where food was never a problem before.

    Thanks, Obama voters. Thanks loads.

  8. CatoRenasci says:

One of the most important things to realize is that if we can get a Constitutional Convention, it’s one state, one vote: ratification is by state. The big states with large populations who are dependent on government largess will no longer be in control: Nevada and Utah have the same voting weight as California and New York. The states with relatively small populations which have been fiscally responsible can amend the Constitution to prohibit the kind of welfare state that has benefited the large states that have been fiscally irresponsible. These states could even provide a mechanism for state bankruptcy for California and New York, they could prohibit public employee unions. These states could limit progressive income taxation and repeal the Reynolds v Sims/Baker v Carr line of cases that forced the states to give up their geographic upper houses.

Warning. If the requred number of people vote to call A constituational convention it will not be limited to the present inequities that have us upset. It could be taken over by the lefties, who put us in this mess, to completely rewrite the Constitution. This is a distinct possibility since Obama got a big majority of the votes in the last election and there would be a tremendous turnout of Soros backed indigent, illiterate, and mentally chanllenged voters.. In certain areas of the South, trucks are sent around to pick these voters up. The driver gives them their voter registration cards and after the vote he takes them back. They remain the the safes of the local Dem. bosses until the next election. In addition, Under Clinton and now Obama, the voting apparatus is staffed with left wing idealogues who will see to it that left wing delegates are elected to the Convention. If you want to change something, go for an amendment. Take my word for it. You don’t want to call a Constitutional Convention which, more than likely, will destroy what little is left of the one we have .

  10. momdear1 says:

Can you image the end result of the backroom deals and “compromise” solutions that would result if the Constitution was rewritten today? Get real. We have no politicians who anywhere near equal to the men who wrote the origional Constitution. Those men wrote our Constitution so that everyone would get equal treatment under the law. Imagine a politically correct, some are more equal than others, “Living Document” which can be interpreted as whatever anyone thinks it should mean. That would be the end result of a rewritten Constitution. First, we’d have to have equal representation on the delegate list of all victim, gender, and NGO groups. You take it from there.

I know that the third party rail is a prescription disaster and I am not suggesting it; however, I just do not think the GOP can be trusted to turn this around at the National level. They will likely huff and puff and squeek ever so slightly. Big GOV has its fingers in us now. The GOP will be corrupted by this level of power as well if not already. Turning this over will be fought at the political Grass Roots level with the States fighting back. This is going to be a long, long struggle. The opposition, Big GOV is counting on you not being able to stick to it. Will you?

    You are wrong guys.
The worst agency is the DHS.
    The Dept. of Homeland Security.
Do you remember how they painted the patriots in their documents?
    Or the third party voters?
Or the (fill you blank)…This is how a dictatorship operates.
They will decide who is a terrorist, who can board planes and who can remain free.
If you do not believe me, let me just say that I have LIVED under a communist regime, in which the Security/Stasi/KGB was the main and the most feared enforcer.
Trust me, guys, the future is RED, unless we stop it NOW.
Because Obama is just getting started.

  13. owl says:

“Because Obama is just getting started.”

Yep, much more coming. BTW, I just watched pollster Frank Luntz touch on this. He mentioned that he does not believe that most Americans have understood the 16,000 more IRS agents. If anyone happens to be listening (psst GOP), this is where a good hunk of the ad money should be going.

I think the most outrageous issue is that the congress and their staffers excluded themselves from the ObamaCare.
The American people hate elitists, that’s why we must make them understand that the demsheviks are transforming into apparatchiks and the demshevik congress into the Politbureau under the obaMAO chairman.

  16. WWS says:

The safety against a runaway convention is that *After* they meet and produce a document, the end product still requires ratification by 38 states before it could be accepted.

There is an interesting question as to whether any dissenting States could choose to “opt out” at that point. It wouldn’t be secession since adoption of a new constitution would terminate and void the old Constitutional agreements.

I very much doubt that as a society we have the nerve or the will anymore to fight anyone who wants out. Those days are long past us.

As in all sleight of hand games, whether they be in chicago, Peshawar or Washington, we MUST keep our eye on the the target, the golden egg. Something far beyond an opportunity to push a liberal agenda coerced all of these democrats to join this mad rush to oblivion. What is it? Is it something else that is coming that will make this look mild? Is it, as the conspiracy folks say, a preparation for further control of the masses?

This was and is about far more than a simple beginning to healthcare insurance. Is it further control? After all, how do you suddenly institute control of what was previously a republic, where citizens had the illusion of controlling their own lives? You first begin to chip away at the issues and areas where people care…i.e. THEIR OWN HEALTH AND LIVES!

What’s next? Please, Americans, do NOT take your eye off the ball as the shell game continues……
