The Left Wakes Up
The far left has been a puppet of the propaganda from the liberal democrats for years. They have been cultivated and fed on scary tales of out of control conservatives for so long they have lost their sense of reality. They cheer for al-Qaeda to win Iraq so their hate of Bush can be justified.
But something happened this week to wake them up to their puppet masters. Its seems the democrats knew all along about the methods used by the CIA to garner intel on possible future attacks from terrorists and enemy combatants in custody:
In September 2002, four members of Congress met in secret for a first look at a unique CIA program designed to wring vital information from reticent terrorism suspects in U.S. custody. For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA’s overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.
Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.
“The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough,” said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange.
The far left is so naive – and apparently devastated that the politicians who flamed their paranoia were just as culpable as anyone else in government. To be honest I don’t blame them for being upset for being lied to and manipulated. It was those same tricks in the later 70’s and early 80’s that caused me to turn my back on the Democrat party for life. Still, ignorance and being played the fool is partially the fault of the victim for being so easily led.
We have been thrashing out this on a bunch of other blogs today and between Pelosi and Harman and what Jay the Rock had to say on Face the Nation today (CBS has a video up on their site) even some left side blogs like FDL and Marcy Wheeler ain’t to happy and starting rumbles of replacement with someone else after the Xmas break.
Kos land is also starting a slow boil in some of their threads.
Looks like the wheels might be getting ready to fall off their little red wagon.
I read the comments on the Washington Post site for the stor this morning.. they are hysterical… the Leftists are in full emotional breakdown over this.
It’s frightening that these people vote.
I swear one day in this country there’s going to be a loyality or intelligence test required before one is allowed to vote after this current madness results in milions of us dying.
The idea that the President lied and hid what he was doing after 911 may now all come out as a big fake. The Dems were in control of the Senate after 911. The Intel over sight committee was headed by Rockefeller. They knew about FISA, interrogations, Wilson/Plame, rendition, have I forgotten anything? Jay Rockefeller vowed to get the President if not by elections then from the inside out. Every leak to the New York times could be traced to him is my bet.
I have my browser up on one screen and my RSS reader up on another and I have been watching left side blogs all over the place posting about Pelosi and Harman and related stuff all day long.
The natives over there are getting restless.
From what I am reading over there, the realization the surge is working and their chance is slipping away and the middle is starting to notice has them getting a bit unnerved and they are getting all upset that the Dems are now on what the 40ish time it looks like funding is getting ready to go through.
I love it when their plan doesn’t come together.
